II/73 Old Saxon, Frisian

In the hopes of going to HISTORICON this coming summer I asked which army I could paint for the two Davids Campaign that would not affect/tie up/or interfere with the campaign if I did not show.  I was told, "round shield carrying Wackos" from the Saxon list.  Well here they are!
The List is made from all Old Glory Figures.  Some packs have been added from the Viking line for Berserkers and variety.  I wanted a difference in weapon type as well.

The Fearless leader.  I went through many aches and pains deciding on the finish to the stands. I really wanted to make them conducting a Littoral landing with water on part of the stand and beach on the other.  The narrow 15mm stands made that near to impossible for me.  I decided it was going to be cold and snowy...works for me.  The North Sea, English Channel, is like that anyway.

No particular theme in shield design other then trying hard not to make them look like Vikings.
A few Wackos without shields liven up every army just a little.
The ever important PS.  The only sane guys in the army.  Have a much deeper stand for stand off distance and capable of hiding when the mounted come a'calling.

II/4a Waring States Chinese, Ch'in

Another Waring States Chinese army.  Heck, I might build them all eventually.  I motivated myself by building the camp first.  Not the normal way for me...but I needed the kick in the shorts.  The miniatures are all Museum from the Chinese chariot line.  Originally, I bought two army packs off ebay.  One was Shang and the other a waring states army.  The packs...well were DBA 1.1 packs, great.  I mixed and matched since I already have a Shang Chinese army.

The Chariots barely hang onto the back of the stand.  Not an issue really, just inconvenient when making columns.  I made the banner in my typical way with paper glued together.   The image is from a t-shirt....you figure it out.  The Generals Dagger-axe man would not fit in the chariot no matter how much I cut his stand down...he no longer has a stand and is pinned into the base.  The Umbrella is made from a stick pin glued to a 28mm Viking Shield with a strip of paper glued around it for he tassels.  Worked awesome.  No the tassel look is all paint vs. cutting it.
Because of the mixing packs, I did not have enough CB to make a third stand.  These guys just have not recieved thier weapon upgrade and armor...outlying province :)
OK, well....again mix and match.  I was cool with the Dagger-axe men but did not like the Spear guys.  I almost stopped painting the army on Friday since I was unhappy.  Then the Emperor, me, made a choice.  I dictated that the extra Bowmen lay down their bows and pick up spears...They refused.  Their were many be-headings that sad day.  The heads were removed and re-mounted on the Spearmen's bodies.  Guess it was easier to switch heads then weapons.
Very normal and uneventful CV and LH.

II/25 Bosporan

I think I bought the figures from Mike Sanderson at Recruits in MO.  The figures are all Essex minus the artillery crew and piece which are Old Glory.  I had ART left over from my Armenians from some time ago.  Felt like the one piece out in the open was lame so I gave them some defensive terrain.
The shooters are what makes this army playable, in my opinion.  Otherwise mounted are an issue even with four KN.
The General and his host.  I went with a blue theme with a splattering of dark red.  I was thinking Sarmatian meet Byzantines....anyway its what I went with.
I wanted something simple for the shield design.  Probably should have been all the same design for an issued item to the troops but I got tired of painting circles....you know how it is sometimes.
The Killer elite...PS...dun dun daaaa  Hopefully they don't die on turn one when I jump out to surprise your general who was hanging out by the bad going......evil laugh insert here

II/19c Seleucids

Hello all.  Here is a project that has been staring at me for weeks..ok months now and needed finished before I pack up to head home to the States.
The army is made from mostly Essex.  Exceptions are the Elephant, SCH, PS, and WB...hmm ok maybe not mostly made up of Essex.  The EL and SCH are Old Glory.  The WB and two PS are Xyston.  Look fine to me....I have had this army in a bag since long before Xyston got around to making figures for it...darn-it
I went with a red theme as you can tell.  The up side down anchor seemed appropriate.  I did however make a mistake...the pikes are to long for the box I transport figures in...hmm, guess they get to nap while traveling.
Decided on two CAT instead of the KN.  I wanted to be able to use them for 2.2 and +....don't feel the 3KN fit the army as well.  PK line do not need rambunctious knight guys charging ahead and getting waxed.
Not sure what the guy on the EL stand is doing...taking orders for take-out...seems relaxed considering the guy up top is jabbing at someone.
The ankle bitters...

Goblin HoTT_GW OOP

Here is most of my Goblin HoTT list to be a matched pair with the Dwarfs.
The Hero stand with Standard bearer.  The fanatic along for the ride.  If you know me and my gamer name, "Gobbo the Great" then you would recognize this old Goblin figure as a D&D character from teenagehood.  I used him as my main character for years.  Re-found him.
I intend to use the wolf riders as riders.  Originally, I thought Knights but then I looked at some Squig Hoppers and thought...Knights without lances.  So I will add them to the list soon.
Skarsnik and Gobbla are the Magic user team.
I wanted alot of Spear and Blade for this army.  I was considering them as Horde but had issues mounting them, maybe I will still.  Interesting, not sure why I just put two and two together and realized the depth of a Horde stand is 40mm....hmmmmm

I have the Fanatics out as a Sneaker.  I just wanted them to pop out and attack a hero or mage.
I have lots of Behemoth choices.  Here are two.  I think BoBo will stay with the Goblins and I will give the Trolls to the Orcs (coming soon)

I would not have a army without at least one artillery piece,, given the choice!
Last but not least, the beast stand.

Dwarf HoTT_GW OOP

Dwarf Army!.  Here is my Dwarf HoTT Army.  I finally finished the last stands last night.  All the element can still be used in War Hammer Fantasy Battles.  Notice the stands have been cut out so the figures can be removed.  Additionally, the BD and Shooters fit in the ranks troop blocks for the other game.  All the figures are Games workshop, Citadel, Metal except for the guy in the pool.

General, Hero

Bolt Thrower, Artillery number One

Grudge Thrower, Artillery number Two.  I packaged a Goblin present to give back to the Goblin army.

Three stands of Bd.  These are Iron Breakers.
Shooters! Two stands of Shooters to augment the ART.

Flyer. This is a Gyrocopter.

Lurker Number One, The Machine he is holding is missing the Drill Auger.  I need to find a screw to finish it.  In WarHammer, miners can have a digger as upgrade.  Here it is.

Lurker number Two.  OK, so this was really fun to build.  What a fantastic figure.  The Dwarf in the inner tube was purchased online.  The pool is made from green stuff in two layers.  I was concerned that the seam would leak when I filled the pool.  The Hose is a round plastic piece I wrapped around a brush to make the coil.  I made the ball of green stuff as well.  The water is of course finger nail polish.  Drys very well.  I put a sheet of plastic at the end of the hose to show the pool filling.

III/25b Arab Conquest

This is another project that has been sitting around for a bit and is finally photographed and ready to post.  The Army was a Essex army pack.  I traded out the BW elements, I just didn't like the ones sent with the kit.
I also added some alternate figures form extras I had in a drawer to give some variety.
The BW and PS choices.  This is really a hard choice to make for me.
I chose not to give the CV flags to make them different from the Persian armies that I have that look similar.  Just wanted different.

II/30a Galatian

I have just finished the last touches on an on going project.  This was on of the project distractions form my finishing up an army for Spencer in trade. Sorry, man...I am not good at focusing on one project at a time.
This is my first time using the floral tuffs.  I thought that they of all armies would have wanted to trample the flowers.

I have been intrigued by the changes to DBA, specifically to 2.2+.  I wanted to work with WB again, not my favorite unit in 2.2.  I realized first, that I did not have any WB armies here in Korea and secondly, I really did have many in my collection.  Here is my try at them.  The army is made from Old Glory.
I originally had three figures in the generals chariot, it started looking like they were to friendly in there so I removed one.
